amanda turner

Chef Amanda Turner is a Texas native that has spent fifteen years cooking and creating in the Austin culinary community.

Currently the Chef de Cuisine at Olamaie, Turner was a James Beard semifinalist for Emerging Chef in 2022, as well as the Rising Star Chef for Star Chefs in 2023 and Tastemaker Chef of the Year for 2023. Chef Turner is also a cheftestant on season 21 of Top Chef, airing March 20th.

At Olamaie, Chef Turner integrates her many culinary influences (particularly her background in Japanese cuisine) and skills in a whimsical way whilst seeking to reclaim the concept of “fusion”, and continues to showcase the vibrance and depths of Austin’s flora and fauna and the versatility of modern Southern Cuisine and through the lens of the African diaspora.

Emily Fenves created lander line in September 2021 after becoming burnt out with her own consumption habits. As a regular shopper, she found herself spending an exhaustive amount of time browsing, buying, returning, and purging. She embarked on a journey to learn more about the “why” behind her overconsumption, and decided to help others do the same. Upon her research, she discovered how environmentally damaging the fashion waste crisis is, and became an advocate for change.

priscilla barroso

In 2003, Barroso moved from Dallas to San Francisco to pursue a career in industrial design but after realizing there was no program that was suitable to her needs she chose to study fashion design at the Art Institute of San Francisco. She later transferred with a scholarship to Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where she graduated with a degree in Fashion Design in 2007. With the launch of Bait Apparel Industries in June 2012, she has now taken on a entirely new passion for inspiring the world through Made in USA manufacturing that invokes a pastime which she refuses to let die. With a focus on making the best of small batch fashion, her approach to fashion is simple, yet stylish and is in constant reflection of her innermost desires and whimsical nature.
