the heat of the summer is here, and so are summer (pool) fridays. while it's always a superb idea to gather up all your gal pals and head to your nearest pool, the best thing to have at the pool with you is a book. it's quiet, it will sweep you away to another place, increase your vocabulary, and reading might prove helpful should you ever need to talk about books at a party. we've been reaching for a few good books to keep us company during downtime.
here are our favorites:
lauren | production & design manager
picked this up after finishing and loving “Leaving the Atocha Station”. he’s an amazing writer - 10/10 would recommend.
stole this book from andrea before she could read it. it's fascinating.
stephanie | owner & designer
i've been listening to this on tape by the pool.
have to say, i've been "reading" this book for a few years. it's amazing when i can sit down and enjoy it!
andrea | wholesale and retail manager
summer reading - i love a little dark scandalous summer read. my favorite place to read is on a beach under an umbrella listening to the waves…. maybe a mojito in hand. on the docket is:
paige | marketing intern
if you've ever found yourself fascinated by psychology and the way our brains work, this is a enlightening book to read. it explains medical stories and diagnoses in a way that's not in doctor jargon. this book will make you feel smart.
this book will change your life. no, really.
a story about a family and a girl who carves her own path... the delicate balance between moving on and becoming who you are and still caring about those who helped shape you.
